  1. Never leave a trail of unfinished tasks… this got to me.
I think I am a bit of both; in that I have an idea of where I should be going but little or no clue on how i should get there.
I have also tried the 5 year plan and I couldn’t get it.. so yes to taking one day at a time and doing things well

    1. I’ve been there, too. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and lose focus as we move from project to project. It works better for me when I give a 100% to whatever I’m doing at a time. Thanks for the comment, girl 🙂

  2. I think I’m both a jackhammer and hummingbird because most times I’ve had to test my hands on many things till I find something that works and then fills up till I shoot to kill.

Once I find a project using my hummingbird strategy then I jackhammer it to success.

Thanks for this analogy Remy. You rock.

  3. I think I’m both a jackhammer and hummingbird because most times I’ve had to test my hands on many things till I find something that works and then follow up till I shoot to kill.

Once I find a project using my hummingbird strategy then I ‘jackhammer’ it to success. All I know I want to be is be successful!

Trained as an Engineer, but I made a decision to abandon Engineering even before graduating from engineering school. I only worked as an Engineer for 6 months during internship with an oil and gas company. Since then, I’ve had an excellent career in nonprofit, international development with fabulous organizations like LEAP Africa, Commonwealth Secretariat and UNESCO.

I left that sector when I relocated from Nigeria and switched career to international trade and logistics when I just FedEx Ground and rose to the position of Quality Assurance within a short period of time. Today, I’m an active duty soldier with the US Army working in an Engineering/Maintenace sector.

Looking back, it seems I had gone a full cycle to come back to my first love-Engineering. But to me, I enjoyed the ride as well as the journey. Most people wonder how I’m able to do these things but the truth is, I wish I know a code to it. There’s no secret as it were; I just follow up on anything that interests me using the hummingbird strategies then apply myself through hardwork and dedication using jackhammer methodologies to become successful at it.

My cheese would be moving soon because I don’t see myself retiring as a Military personnel. ?

But when the time comes, is just “Follw My Feet”.

Is it possible to be both? ?

Thanks for this analogy Remy. You rock.
